Bits and Pieces

I had a birthday. Now I'm old (well, maybe I'm just feeling that way right now...and maybe it's really just exhaustion and the cold I'm battling?).

Tough week playing single Mama (Shelly - you seriously rock, I don't know how you do this everyday, every week, etc.). I can't wait to have my partner back to share the burdens and pleasures of our responsibilities.

New bedtime routine implemented. So far, so good.

Medical bills rank real high on the scale of suck-i-ness.

Decided to procrastinate renewing my passport because I don't want to spend the next 10 years living with a passport picture that reminds me how sleep deprived I was in Jan 2010.

Discovered that honey is a very effective for cough relief in toddlers (over 1yr of course!)...and in Mamas too.

Discovered that calendula cream really is like magic cream. Magic. Seriously. Try it.

  1. love Love LOVE honey for coughs. I always use it for Gav. The homeopathic cold medicines include it too.
Never tried calendula cream... I must get some, I have dry skin... and I will use it for the babies too ;)
I couldn't imagine more than a day without help... that's hard enough. Single moms ROCK!!! ...and dads (if any are reading)
Feel better Sara. We miss you all so much. Hard to believe a yr is about to pass since we've seen everyone

  2. Some days I am so exhausted... two kids up to school, work full time, swim lessons, dinner, bath, bedtime and now I get to clean the kitchen and do laundry. It really is a glamorous life. Maybe you could help me out and find a single fun man who likes kids?
    Keep me posted!

  5. very honest blog of a HARD working mom of 2 - feel ya and at least they are beautiful kids (at the least on the hardest days, I love to look at mine in awe....while they sleep....when no whining is coming out of their little mouths).
