Hmm, I'm tired and don't know where to start catching up on the last few weeks, so here are few random details from the last month.
I've enjoyed being back at work but could do without the long drive (hopefully this will be better starting next week as it looks like my project has moved to the DTC). I think AJ has enjoyed school, although he would be happiest if he could just nurse all day instead of take the bottle. Andy has handled bedtime by himself like a champ (it's a tough time of day because E wants her special quiet time and AJ is SUPER fussy). By the end of the week, we're all tired, but we're making it work!
We had a fantastic Thanksgiving, Thursday with Andy's family and Saturday with my family. Thanksgiving with my family was extra fun because our friend Page and her husband joined us.
We got our Christmas tree up and E has a done a great job not touching it. I've got all our Christmas shopping done, but I don't think I'll put the wrapped presents under the tree until a week before Christmas (a week is an exceptionally long time for a 1-yr old to resist a wrapped present!).
Andy bought us deep fat fryer on black Friday which I made him return yesterday (Friday morning when me and the kids woke up Andy said, "I bought us a deep fat fryer online, it was a great deal." Me: "Why would you buy a deep fat fryer?" Andy: "I like fried foods." Me: eye roll "What are we going to fry and who’s going to clean it up?" Andy: "We will fry EVERYTHING and don't worry about clean up." Me: eye roll).
We got to see our good friends the Goodworths and how grown up their gorgeous little ones are.
Last weekend was Andy's company's kids holiday party. Santa was there (was hoping we would have the pictures by now...maybe next week) and E made a lantern and a holiday pin.
I guess that's it...kind of a boring post...I guess it's a sign of our life...preoccupied with surviving the week (and occassionally doing a little better than just survive) and then trying to get ready for the next one. Doesn't leave time for much else...
Yeah - a post! Thank you! I don't think it is boring. I love it! Why would you return the fryer? I was excited for Frying Friday . . . and fried zucchini!
