Pennies and Orcas

Pennies

The kids love to ride the horse at the grocery store. They named the horse Penny (mostly because she "eats" pennies and a little because we have a book about a race horse named Penny). They now relate all money back to equivalent rides on Penny.

Last night, when Andy got home from work, he sat down at the kitchen table where Exia and AJ were sitting and coloring.

Exia: "Dad, how many pennies did you make for me today so I can ride Penny?"
Andy: "Today I worked really hard, so I made you a lot of pennies."
Exia: "Good."

Orcas

Exia: "I wish I was an orca."
Andy: "Why?"
Exia: "Well, because that way I could eat everything in the ocean and some things on land."

Why isn't there a question on the pediatrician's developmental questionnaire asking if your child knows the eating habits of killer whales?
