We made our first public family outing today. It went fine, but did reinforce to me how much more complicated life is now. It feels like we've got three kids, Exia, AJ...and AJ's O2 tank.
The portable tank (M6 size, quite small and compact) is fairly heavy...heavier than AJ, and cumbersome to carry/manage with AJ and Exia and a diaper bag (stuffed full of two diaper sizes and lots of wipes and snacks and extra clothes) all the while trying to fend off sweet old ladies who want to get too close to AJ and risk infecting him with the H1N1 germs I'm sure they are all carrying.
I can't wait until the O2 tanks are a thing of the past. Taking Exia and AJ out together will seem like a breeze without "Tank" around to complicate things.
I am glad that you are all home, safe and sound. you can always let the adoring senior ladies pat "tank."
ReplyDeleteI hadn't read this blog when we talked . . . the conversation about "tank" is so much more funny now! We aren't ready for third niece/nephew . . . we haven't gotten "tank" anything!
